Cold days....

Cold days.. winter is fast approaching.

What good time to bundle up with a book, a fire and a nice glass of red.. wine that is.

Malbec, a grape whose origins are found in the southwest of France doesn’t have the black currant fruitiness of a Cabernet, rather it is a bit darker and a little more savory, with spice and earth undertones.

Cultivated in Argentina, this wine I am enjoying, is from the Mendoza region, a dominant wine region perched on the side of the Andes.

My indulgence this evening..Bodega Catena Zapata 2002 Malbec Mendoza Alta.

Smooth and elegant..

And what is your indulgence ?
