Shazam!

I must admit that I am a bit of a "Gadget Geek".

Anything new in the world of technology is always of interest to me.Although Shazam is not exactly a new "technology", it is one I have recently tried. I suppose, for some time, I assumed that it was an application that would be somewhat mediocre. However, I have discovered that it is quite amazing.




Shazam is an application available both for the Iphone and Blackberry (it may also be available on other smart phones), enabling you to point your phone towards the music source (radio, television etc) to identify the track playing. It then identifies the name, album, and artist of the song.

Shazam is surprisingly accurate and recognizes even the most obscure songs.It is a very simple yet enjoyable and addictive application.

I am so happy that I have finally tried this application and no longer have to torture salespeople at the various stores I visit, by trying to hum the tune to a song I heard...
